In a meeting held on March 15, 2022, the APS National Executive Committee opted to support humanitarian aid to help the victims of the Ukrainian war by sending a check to the Canadian Red Cross for $ 1,000 knowing that the Canadian government has committed to match donations by doubling amounts so given.
As an organization involved in Communications, APS was also particularly challenged by the repression and unacceptable treatment threatening professional members of news media in the context of the war presently raging.
